New Osprey Given FCC Class A Certification

ALSO MEETS EUROPEAN EMISSIONS AND IMMUNITY STANDARDS

The 16th and 17th of September, 1997 the Osprey/DX Co-Processor underwent FCC EMI/RFI and the European Emissions/Immunity Standards testing at Acme Testing in Acme, Washington. (Yes, Virginia, there is such a place.) Test results confirmed that the Osprey meets, not only the FCC Class A certification requirements, but the current European standards for emissions and immunity, as well.

The tested equipment was housed in a Strobe Rack Mount Chassis with Intel motherboard, and included, not only the Osprey board set, but a Strobe multiplexer (STROBEMUX) to replicate a fully loaded configuration. FCC CFR47, Part 15, Subpart B tests for radiated and conducted emissions showed the equipment to be well within required limits.

In addition, the Osprey was tested, and met, European Union EN 55022:1994, and EN 55022:1994 standards for radiated and conducted emissions. Then the Osprey was subjected to the immunity requirements of EN 61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-4, and EN 60111-4-2. These tests were all passed with ease.

The CE Mark will be affixed to shipped Osprey products.
